According to Corriere dello Sport (h/t The Sun), Lazio 'dream' of signing Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan.
Maurizio Sarri is keen on working with the shot-stopper again after coaching him in the 2018–19 season, winning the Europa League with Chelsea with Kepa as his first-choice goalie.
Arrizabalaga is said to be 'willing' to join Lazio and get more first-team football than he currently gets at Chelsea.
However, the operation could prove difficult as Lazio do not have funds to pay his £150,000-a-week in full.
The relationship between Sarri and Arrizabalaga remains good despite the notorious League Cup final incident. Kepa refused to be substituted by Caballero just before the penalty shoot-out that Chelsea lost.
The keeper then claimed that the situation was a misunderstanding as he explained in detail what happened.
The arrival of Edouard Mendy has seen Kepa's playing time dramatically reduced. The Basque goalie has made just 15 appearances for Chelsea after Mendy's arrival.
