Gary Neville 'admires' Jamal Musiala for leaving Chelsea

"I admire these lads that leave," Gary Neville told beIN Sports. "Sancho leaving (Manchester City), Musiala leaving (Chelsea).

"I think the fact that they are willing to go to Germany. To Dortmund and to Bayern Munich and experience that different level.

"Chelsea have Pulisic, Havertz, they had Werner, there are loads of them, isn't there? Mount. Ziyech. Gallagher. They have five or six players in the position of Musiala's, they are probably thinking 'we are okay'. A year or two ago.

"Managers at Chelsea couldn't wait two or three years to bring something through, anyway."

Jamal Musiala was one of the brightest players in the Chelsea academy where he spent eight years before leaving for Bayern Munich at the age of 16.

Three years later, Musiala is a rising star on the world stage and a regular starter for Bayern and Germany, including at the World Cup. It's safe to say that leaving Chelsea was the right choice for him.
