Chelsea stance on Badiashile January exit revealed amid AC Milan rumours (reliability: 5 stars)

The Evening Standard report that Chelsea are not considering letting Benoit Badiashile leave in January.

AC Milan have been credited with the interest in loaning the Frenchman who has featured only twice so far this season.

The 22-year-old made his first start for the Blues this season against Newcastle last week and looked quite shaky. However, the club believes in the centre-back as they understand he will regain his solidity as his fitness improves.

Badiashile joined Chelsea from AC Monaco in January on a £34m fee. He immediately became a starter under Graham Potter, benching Kalidou Koulibaly in the process. He picked up an injury later in the last season and returned only in October.
