'He has felt a bit isolated': Another Chelsea loanee struggling to adapt to life abroad

Brazilian winger Angelo had a bright start to the season at Strasbourg, the Ligue 1 club he joined on loan from Chelsea this summer.

However, after starting a few games, the 18-year-old has not completed 90 minutes in six weeks and was finally dropped to the bench for the Reims game on Friday.

According to L'Equipe, Strasbourg head coach Patrick Vieira is not happy about Angelo's defensive work. Moreover, the teenager also has problems off tje pitch.

"It has been difficult these past weeks," a source at Strasbourg told L’Équipe. "He has mitigating circumstances. He is discovering European football, he didn’t do the preseason with us and he has felt a bit isolated because of the language barrier."

Unlike other loanees, like Diego Moreira and Andrey Santos, Angelo at least has regular game time, so there's no suggestion that he's going to be recalled just yet.
