Chelsea's biggest strengths from Newcastle United win shown in lineup - 4 players feature

Chelsea had to work hard to secure a 3-2 win over Newcastle United and get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Blues produced some impressive attacking football, with goals from Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk helping get the job done.

Palmer was the best player for Chelsea once again and tormented Newcastle with his innovative playing style. He ended up assisting the opening goal before scoring a brilliant goal in the second half, as well as creating some more chances afterwards.

Jackson also had an impressive outing, as he showcased brilliant skill to score his goal. The Senegalese forward caused trouble with his movement and harassed the Newcastle defenders all game long.

Mudryk was one of Chelsea’s positives in the win with a brilliant super-sub performance. He scored a slick goal after coming on to basically seal the win for his side and showcased his sparks with his movement and dribbling.

Chelsea’s best defender on the day was arguably the in-form Malo Gusto, who kept Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy at bay. He won 6/8 duels, won back possession 10 times and made four clearances too.

Mauricio Pochettino will probably look to give more opportunities to these players going forward as the Blues aim for a strong end to the season.
