Pochettino: 'I want to apologise to the fans'

"t's the last time I want to see something like this," Mauricio Pochettino has said when asked about the penalty incident with Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson involved.

"I want to apologise to the fans. They knew it was Cole. Cole is the taker. It's a clear example that it's a process we still need to learn. They are not experienced players. They are young. They need to experience some situations and learn. It is like we are in a school, now it is to show they were wrong and learn. It's about learning, to move on and be better.

"We all agree this kind of behaviour can't happen again and [Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke] were wrong," the Argentine also said.

Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke almost fought Cole Palmer as they wanted to take a penalty kick when Chelsea were 4-0 ahead against Everton. After a while, Conor Gallagher intervened and gave the ball to Palmer.
