Cole Palmer breaks 29-year-old Premier League record with 'perfect hattrick' against Everton

Cole Palmer produced an immaculate performance for Chelsea in the 6-0 battering of Everton at Stamford Bridge.

He managed to score thrice inside 29 minutes, helping seal the win for the Blues before scoring a fourth goal in the second half.

It turns out that Palmer has now set a new record for the fastest ‘perfect hattrick’ scored by any player in a Premier League game.

A perfect hattrick is one which is scored using the right foot, the left foot and a goal coming via a header.

Palmer did this in 29 minutes, beating the previous record set by Tommy Johnson for Aston Villa (38 minutes) back in 1995.

The Englishman is also only the second Chelsea player to score hattricks in back-to-back home Premier League games since Didier Drogba.

With his heroics, the winger was able to take his tally to 20 goals in the Premier League and is currently tied with Erling Haaland for the Golden Boot award.
