Valenti Guardiola father of Ex-Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola doesn't want his son to manage the Spanish national team. Instead, the Septuagenarian predicts a possible return to Camp Nou for Pep.

"I don't want Pep to lead the Spanish National Team. Now, to return to Barcelona as a coach or as a person who gives advice that I do not rule out, but not to the Spanish National Team," Valenti said to Super Deportivo Radio.

On Tuesday Guardiola led Manchester City to their first-ever Champions League final.

Pep is arguably one of the most successful managers in the history of Barcelona. The Catalan tactician etched his name in Barca's history books when he led the Blaugrana to the sextuple back in 2012.

After beating Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 at home and 4-1 overall, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City advanced to the Champions League final. This is the first time the former Barcelona boss reaches the final of the most prestigious European competition since his Camp Nou departure.

“I’m sure if Neymar had a longer stay in Barcelona, they would've won two or three more Champions Leagues. Those three were unstoppable, the best three I saw up-front in my life. He decided to go to Paris, not a bad decision, a nice city and a nice club," Guardiola was quoted by City Xtra.

The combination between Messi, Neymar and Suarez remains the most deadly in the 21st century. The trio helped Barca win the Champions League in 2015.

However, Neymar left Barca in 2017 for a world record €222m fee. Since then the Blaugrana are yet to enjoy success in the Champions League.
