Over the past few years, there has been a viral story about Yaya Toure's former agent who 'cursed' Manchester City in their efforts to win the Champions League.
"I'm sure that many African shamans will not let Guardiola win the Champions League in the future. It will be like an African curse on Guardiola," Dimitri Seluk said 3 years ago, blaming Pep for the way he mistreated Yaya.
Toure has finally broken the silence surrounding the story.
"My former agent is being quoted by the media about a 'curse'. Please don't associate me with this nonsense and lazy stereotypes about African curses!? Media… move on please. This man does not represent me in any way. Amplifying these stereotypes is harmful."
Seems like the former Barca man is fed up hearing the same story every year.
Yaya will be even happier if Pep proves those people wrong and finally wins the Champions League after a long wait. On Tuesday, he will face Real Madrid in the semifinals.
