Ter Stegen spotted in Barca training – recovery date unveiled

The German has been spotted training individually on the grass.

The 31-year-old is expected to re-join the group in early February. He may be available for 

's La Liga clash against Granada on February 11. The plan is for him to play the Champions League last 16 fixtures against Napoli too.

Ter Stegen has been injured since mid-November. Inaki Pena has conceded 26 goals and kept two clean sheets in 14 games in his absence.

The remaining players on Barca's injury list are Inigo Martinez, Alejandro Balde, Marcos Alonso, Gavi and Raphinha.

It's high time we talk about Barca's fitness department ( not medical department). they need to to something about them ASAP. look at dembele fr example, it's half way through season and he hasn't had any problem with injuries. And look at other players like joules kounde, he was one of the quickest defenders while playing for Sevilla. But now players easily out pace him. another example is Robert Lewandowski, his physique during his time in Bayern was only betterd by Ronaldo i think. but now he is just a shadow of himself, lost physique and lost pace too. i am convinced that in terms of physicality and fitness we are one of the worst teams in Europe. lots of team in Europe are burdened with injury but when they are fit or the other players are at their peak fitness. but when it comes to Barca no player is performing at the peak of their fitness level. Every team we play against, we get bullied physically. If we are to properly dominate Europe again we need to address this problem. modern football is just not tactics itself, if u can dominate ur opponents physically it is much easier to win games.
