In Barcelona's game against Mallorca, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen reached a milestone by completing 400 appearances. The German goalie marked the special occasion with a clean sheet and a win for Barca.
"It is a pride to wear this shirt for so long and to carry the team with me always, it is a very nice number," Ter Stegen told Barcelona media.
"At first you don't think about these things, but when you reach this number it has more meaning, in the end, the more games you play, the better.
"I always try to give my best for this shield, really enjoying this shirt on the field, where you learn from all situations. It always turns out better in the next one.
"I try to take advantage of the experience of previous situations, and obviously transmit it to those who have just arrived or have a few fewer games. I try to give my version, my experience," the goalie added.
Ter Stegen becomes the third foreign player at Barca with the most appearances for the club. He's only behind Messi (758) and Dani Alves (408).
