West Ham's £216m starting XI with Ward-Prowse and Maguire shown in lineup

West Ham United's transfer window might be about to turn from crap to marvellous.

The Hammers spent two-thirds of the summer on the internal squabble between head coach David Moyes and sporting director Tim Steidten but have now finally signed James Ward-Prowse, preceded by the signing of Edson Alvarez.

More signings are expected and Harry Maguire might be next in line. West Ham have a solid centre-back pairing in Nayef Aguerd and Kurt Zouma but the latter is injury prone. The former Man United captain is pretty much told to go by Erik ten Hag but the clubs are yet to agree on the fee.

Scott McTominay might be a surprise addition towards the end of the window although there's a suspicion he will stay put after West Ham have already secured two midfield signing.

Lucas Paqueta could go to Man City but if he does, it means West Ham will pocket huge money from his transfer.

David Moyes's big headache is the lack of a reliable striker. Danny Ings and Michail Antonio would've made a decent partnership three years ago but are now on the wrong of 30 and not exactly firing. Maybe they will sign someone or try to shoehorn Jarrod Bowen up front — we don't know.

Another problem is the left winger as Said Benrahma is just not good enough but there are no rumours about new potential replacements at the moment.

Assuming Paqueta goes, Benrahma stays and no new striker is found, here's West Ham's best XI with the new signings.

Transfermarkt rates this starting XI at around £216m if the estimated value of each player is taken into account. Note that Transfermarkt's estimations do not reflect the actual value each player represents to his club.

Where will the Hammers finish this season, in your opinion?
