Mane admits mental tiredness: 'I don’t think I have had a holiday in seven years'

The Senegalese was the last player to return from vacation after dragging his national team to the African Nations Cup earlier this summer. After having endured yet another 13-month season Sadio Mane have had only two weeks of a proper holiday, which actually partly consisted of some necessary fitness training.

And that's troubling indeed as even seemingly unbreakable Sadio himself admits mental tiredness. However, our beloved No.10 is willing to withstand whatever soreness he's facing in order for the team to succeed.

When asked whether he is fit to start against Chelsea on Wednesday, the 27-year-old said:

"For sure, I am ready to start. Let’s do this. Tiredness is in the head.

"I don’t think I have had a holiday more than 20 days for seven years.

"But I am here now and I say let’s go."

And although such dedication is worth admiring indeed, it remains debatable whether tiredness of such sort will affect Sadio's performances in a long-term perspective.
