Fernando Torres has not played football professionally since August 2019, but he has hinted that he's going to return to the game.
On Instagram, he posted a picture of himself wearing a No.9 shirt with a caption: "I only understand life in one way - playing. That's why I've decided to return. This Friday I will communicate where."
The forward ended his career in Japan with Sagan Tosu, but he's much better known for his performances for Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea.
The Spaniard spent three and a half years at Anfield, scoring 81 goals in 142 games.
Since retiring, Torres has coached at the Atletico Madrid B team and managed to develop a strong physique due to regular gym practices - it remains to be seen if he can use it to his advantage on the pitch.
