"The thing is we all have to hope that Nat barely plays and that’s why I feel he should seek a transfer. Virgil, Gomez, Konate, Matip all ahead of him.
"He’ll need another disaster injury crisis to even sniff a starting position. Sure he can get cup games and rotations here and there but if he gets a nice offer elsewhere he should definitely bounce.
"He will however get more of a chance to start this year with no CB injuries than usual as Gomez & Virgil can’t play 38 games coming off knee surgeries.
"Them both being rotated more often will allow Phillips to get more game time. 2022 that won’t be the case though."
Nat Phillips has set himself up for an excellent career with his performances to help Liverpool secure top 4 but perhaps it would make sense for him to build on that by moving elsewhere for playing time.
Phillips has been a passionate and easy to root for servant for the club but his now increased valuation also offers Liverpool a chance to cash in on him and earn money to spend on other positions.
