Among many transfer rumours circling around Liverpool these days, the Kylian Mbappe one is the most puzzling.
Even if the French forward wants to leave PSG this summer, the Reds surely won't be able to afford him. As for the next summer, all indications are that Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid as a free agent.
However, the 22-year-old still has about a year to think it over and, according to our user ThomD, he'd better consider the downsides of going to Madrid.
"PSG is desperate of keeping him. Their fans literally booed him because he refused to sign a new contract before they gave him a standing ovation during the match against Strasbourg when he did something typically brilliant.
"I'm sorry to burst some of your bubbles of happiness, but he isn't coming [to Liverpool]. He is running down his contract because he wants to join another club, but it's not us. It's sadly Real Madrid.
"I don't think it would be the best move for him, not because I'm a salty Liverpool fan, but because I'm actually serious.
"Real Madrid is a mess right now, and so is Barcelona. By joining Madrid be wants to win trophies (I assume) but by the current standard of Real Madrid I'm afraid he might turn out to be a new Eden Hazard, which I totally don't want to happen with such a talent."
