Alisson and Fabinho 'almost certain' to miss next Liverpool game for one reason

Alisson and Fabinho are set to miss the Watford game on Saturday, October 16, due to a short turnaround from the final game of their international break.

In the last leg of their triple-header, Brazil will face Uruguay. The game will take place in the early hours of Friday, October 15 - less than 36 hours before the Premier League game.

Liverpool asked their opponents if it was possible to move the fixture to a later slot.

However, Watford rejected the idea: as per the Liverpool Echo, they referred to the fact that many fans have already arranged their travel for the day. It means that Alisson and Fabinho are 'almost certain' to miss the game.

The new quarantine rules mean that fully vaccinated players can take part in training and games during a bespoke 10-day quarantine. It means that both Brazilian would've been available for the game if it was just a bit later.
