Liverpool are considering Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma for the January transfer campaign, Fabrizio Romano said on the Here We Go podcast.
The club is worried about Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane leaving for the African Cup of Nations this winter. This is why their focus is on wingers and not on midfielders in the next couple of months.
Danjuma is a player Liverpool 'love', Romano claims. Virgil van Dijk's teammate in the Netherlands' national side got off to a great start at Villarreal, scoring seven goals in 14 games.
Before that, Danjuma spent two seasons at Bournemouth. Last campaign, he scored 15 goals in the Championship.
Villarreal are not willing to let Danjuma go in the middle of the season, however, which is why a transfer will be extremely difficult in January. Still, it's a good indication of Liverpool's thinking in the market.
