Trent reaches creativity milestone, joins elite club of best EPL playmakers

As per Squawka, Trent Alexander-Arnold is the first Premier League player to create 100 chances in 2021.

This milestone puts him level with the league's best playmakers in the last few years.

There are only six players who have managed to create more than 100 goalscoring opportunities since 2017:

2017: Özil (114), Eriksen (111), De Bruyne (110);

2018: Hazard (101)

2019: De Bruyne (103), Maddison (101)

2020: De Bruyne(107)

2021: Alexander-Arnold (101)

What makes Trent special is that he is the only defender among these six players. Ozil, Eriksen, De Bruyne, Hazard and Maddison operate further up the pitch than the Liverpool right-back.
