'It's a small trophy but it's City we're taking it from': Liverpool fans name ultimate XI v Leicester

Liverpool welcome Leicester to Anfield in the Carabao Cup quarter-final tie later today.

The Reds are without ten players due to Covid-19, injuries and suspensions. Hence, Jurgen Klopp is expected to rotate the squad.

Yesterday, we offered you two heavily-rotated lineup options to choose from. The first option predominately consists of back-up players such as Neco, Ox and Tsimikas, with Salah, Firmino and Konate also in the starting eleven.

The second option sees Kelleher, Neco, Gomez, Tsimikas, Minamino and Ox as the only senior players in the squad, as Academy players are given a chance while first-teamers are rested.

The majority of Liverpool fans on the Reds Live app have voted for the first option. Here are a few shots from the Liverpool fan community:

Red’s fan forever: "It’s time for a win, always after a drama of a draw a win comes handy, raising the spirit and giving us momentum vs Leads.

"I’ll definitely go for option #1, don’t want to give Leicester City the pleasure of defeating Liverpool, doesn’t look like what we the fans looking forward for.

"Hope that Klopp hopefully understands that and gives that cup game a bit of winning mentality even with the Covid crisis and the injuries he must take it seriously, YNWA"

KASSEM ALUBAIDI: "It’s a chance to win a trophy, play your strongest 11 and don’t get humiliated at home playing kids, I know it’s the Carabao cup but a trophy is a trophy and this one we haven’t won for ages!!!"

UK So: "Option 1. The squad of option 2 is too green. I hope we can reach another level of the Cup which is more beneficial to individual young players get involved. It’s more meaningful to them if they can play final game."

Thom🥶: "Option 1 all day long. We want to win trophies, and even though it's a small trophy, it's City we're taking it from. And anyways, we've come as far as we have come, why give it away now?"

The manager will do the necessary to ensure that we hopefully progress to the semi final of the cup. Crabao or FA, a trophy is a trophy and winning it is good for the reputation of the club.
