'How is he so good at that?!': Jota praised for one thing v Arsenal — not his assist

Liverpool defeated Arsenal 2-0 in the FA Cup clash at the Emirates on Sunday. Diogo Jota came on in the second half and put in an excellent performance, providing an assist for Luis Diaz's goal.

In the 78th minute, as the Reds were taking a corner and the scoreline still level, the Portuguese jumped highest and almost scored with a header. His effort hit the crossbar.

Liverpool fans have praised the forward's ability to position himself and win aerial duels against taller players.

"Let's just appreciate this leap from Jota. 6'4" Saliba getting completely outjumped vs 5'10" Jota. His head[ing] is so good," one Reds' fan wrote on Reddit. [Jota's height is actually 5'11' while Saliba is 6'3''. Still the difference is big enough — Tribuna]

"Scientists say if Jota was as tall as Saliba, he could jump over the Eiffel Tower," a second added.

"Wonder if CR7 makes them practice hanging in the air like that during national team practices. What a leap!" a third commented.

"HOW is he so damn good at headers?! Just watched the recent compilation the club put up of all 50 of his goals for us and so many were headers it was insane," another wrote.
