'Liverpool are the enemy. Nothing would please me more than knocking them off pedestal': New Man United co-owner Ratcliffe

Sir James Ratcliffe, the richest man in England, has completed the purchase of a 27.7% stake in Man United earlier this month.

And the 71-year-old says that he plans to make the Red Devils great again — at the expense of Liverpool and Man City.

"Liverpool and Man City are the enemy. Nothing would please me more than to knock them both off their pedestals," Ratcliffe said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

"There are things we can learn from them, of course. I respect them a lot... but they are still the enemy for us."

Just recalled that Erik ten Hag said that 'eras come to an end' when he took charge at Man United. And he was right, with the Red Devils suffering the heaviest defeat in their history as Liverpool thrashed them 7-0 at Anfield in March 2023.
