United said to be in ‘constant contact’ with Napoli over signing Kalidou Koulibaly

Man United are not giving up their ambitious chase for Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly and have not ended their communication with the Italian club.

According to Italian publication Tuttosport – not really known for their reliability – the Red Devils are in ‘close contact’ with Napoli over the possible signing of Koulibaly.

The report suggests that the Italian side are expected to cash in on some of their star players to raise enough funds for next season.

Their president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to reportedly raise £113m from the sales of Koulibaly as well as striker Arkadiusz Milik in the summer.

However, United are not the only one chasing Koulibaly and actually face some serious competition for the Senegalese defender.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are also very interested in signing up the towering centre-back to boost their own defensive structure.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be a big fan of Koulibaly and feels like he could be United’s own Virgil Van Dijk.

With the Red Devils keen on making Jadon Sancho their star signing for next season, it’s unlikely they will able to pay up big funds for Koulibaly and nudge their rivals to his signature next season.
