Man United donate £300,000 to schools to help vulnerable families amidst coronavirus crisis

Manchester United continue to make the fans proud with another novel gesture amidst the coronavirus pandemic, reports the MEN.

The club's foundation has donated £300,000 to partner schools and colleges in an attempt to help those families affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition to deploying staff to help out, United have pledged a sum of £10,000 to each of these facilities.

The money will be utilized to purchase food, clothing, energy, medication, IT equipment and other essentials to alleviate the troubles of the families who have been hit hard by the global crisis.

The foundation has partnerships with schools in nine out of the ten boroughs in and around Greater Manchester.

United have also been in the news for donating prepared meals to the frontline NHS workers as the deadly virus continues to wreak havoc in the UK.

Amidst all this, speculations have been rife about the Premier League potentially returning in June.
