Man United 'line up £40 million bid' for explosive Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey

Manchester United remain intent on bolstering their attacking options this summer even if they fail to bring in either Jadon Sancho or Jack Grealish.

According to the Daily Mail, a tier-two source, Bayer Leverkusen man Leon Bailey has emerged as a transfer target for the Red Devils ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could reportedly consider the 22-year-old as a cheaper alternative to Sancho and Grealish with Bundesliga side said to be open to selling the Jamaican for about £40 million this summer.

Bailey has firmly established himself as a key player for Leverkusen, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists in 27 games in all competitions for the Bundesliga hopefuls so far this season.

The 22-year-old is not the only Bayer player who can end up at Old Trafford next season as the Red Devils are also reportedly keeping tabs on fellow attacker Kai Havertz.
