When asked about how it’d be for like to square up against his Portugal teammates Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva in the Manchester Derby, Bruno Fernandes said: “I speak with them regularly, we have a good relationship. But the relationships stay out of the game.
“They know me and they know that on the pitch we are not friends anymore! [Smiles] At the same time I enjoy seeing them play and every one of them is doing well individually and I’m happy for them.
“As a team I was hoping to see them do a little bit worse than they are doing, but individually I am happy for them because they are good people and they deserve to be in the positions they are and playing in the way they are playing.”
Bruno is not the one to be friendly with any opponents during a Man United game and is hungry to shut his doubters against Man City. The Portuguese midfielder has struggled against traditional top-6 sides this season and will look to improve his record by being involved in the goals for United on Sunday.
