'He's not the best at playing one-touch football': Troy Deeney explains how Leicester targeted Fred

Speaking on talkSPORT after Manchester United's 3-1 defeat against Leicester City, Troy Deeney said: "I got a bit of stick for saying it on my first show. Fred makes a lot of mistakes because he's not the best at playing one-touch football.

"He needs two or three touches and Leicester identified that got their reward. I do think he's been very good this season but if you make mistakes at Man United in general – if it's in FA Cup quarters or at Sunderland on a Wednesday – it doesn’t really matter.

"You're going to get told that you can't make mistakes at that level because they're such a big club."

Last year, Deeney revealed that Watford players targeted Fred because of his poor ball control when the two sides faced each other in the Premier League.

The Hornets' skipper reiterated his controversial comments earlier this season, stating that the Brazilian simply 'doesn't know how to do one or two touches'.
