Premier League confirm substitute rule change for 21/22 season

The Premier League has confirmed that clubs will be allowed to have nine substitutes on the bench for every game in the 2021/22 season.

This is an increase from only seven substitutes that could be named last season, with the change being forced to allow teams to rotate their players around comfortably.
