Lindelof named new captain of Sweden national team

The Sweden national football team has named Victor Lindelof as their new captain.

Reacting to it, Victor told Sweden Football: "It is a very great honour but also a great responsibility. Every time I put on the blue and yellow shirt, I feel enormous pride. To now be able to represent the country with the bandage around my arm will be very big for me."

Nottingham Forrest confirm interest in Garner loan move

Nottingham Forrest manager Chris Hughton has admitted that he would like to re-sign James Garner on another season-long loan this season.

He told The Athletic: "We hope so [sign Garner on loan]. We generally do not talk specifically about players signing, but James is one who made a contribution we were delighted with last season."

Atalanta 'made inquiries' over Daniel James

According to Italia outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Atalanta have asked Man United for information about the availability of Dan James who's expected to move down the pecking order a bit after Jadon Sancho's arrival.

The Italian club's interest has not gone further than that, however. The report does not even specify whether United are prepared to let James go this summer at all.

Sergio Romero in talks with Granada

Former Man United keeper Sergio Romero is in talks with Granada over a free transfer this summer, and an official offer is expected soon, The Athletic reports.

Granada are looking for a new keeper after their former No.1 left for Betis. So, Romero would have a chance to be the genuine first choice after six years as a back-up to David de Gea and, in the last campaign, Dean Henderson.
