The Telegraph: United might've already made bid to sign Declan Rice (reliability 4 stars)

Man United might already have made a bid to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United this summer, according to The Telegraph.

It’s claimed that the midfielder is unhappy that the Hammers might’ve priced him out a transfer by placing a £100m price tag on him.

Rice has made it clear he won’t sign a new contract with West Ham, as both United and Chelsea remain interested in him.

West Ham believe that any approach they make to sign Jesse Lingard could result in the Red Devils asking about signing the defensive midfielder.

However, Rice himself fears that his £100m valuation could scare off United – which is why he’s forced his club to reduce that.

The Hammers reportedly now value him at £60m-£70m – even though it seems unlikely that any club would pay that amount to sign Rice this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already insisted that ‘anything can happen’ in terms of transfers until the end of the summer window.

That being said, United will reportedly have to sell players before being able to make more signings.
