Speaking to the BBC, Garth Crooks said: "With 12 minutes to go in the game between Wolves and Manchester United, Chelsea's Edouard Mendy was pencilled in after his performance against Liverpool.
"But that was before Man United's David De Gea made the most extraordinary point-blank double save from Wolves defender Romain Saiss. I haven't seen a performance like this from De Gea for at least two years."
The BBC pundit has also included Paul Pogba in his best XI: "This wasn't Man Utd's finest hour, but they got the result, partly due to De Gea's brilliance and Pogba's determination. To go to ground after you've taken two steps following the tackle, turned around and looked at the referee having lost the ball was a cheek."
Both De Gea and Pogba have started the 2021/22 campaign in the best way possible with the Red Devils securing 7 points from the 3 opening games.
The Spaniard appears to have firmly benched Dean Henderson while the Frenchman is clearly unfazed by the rumours surrounding his future.
