Some Manchester United fans have hailed Cristiano Ronaldo for finishing 20th in the Ballon d'Or at 37. His teammate, Casemiro, was ranked 17.
Taking to Twitter, Haseeb wrote "A 37 year old Cristiano Ronaldo finishing 20th in the Ballon d'Or after carrying Manchester United on his back the whole season. No one will ever come close. Greatness."
George added, "20th place in the Ballon d’Or at 37 years old is actually insane…" Filipe Orlandp's "In 17 long years of football Cristiano Ronaldo has never finished outside the top 20 in the Ballon d'Or. No footballer in history can say the same".
CRY Rap Rhymes said "Hate him all you want but there's no way Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't a top 10 player last season".
Ronaldo scored 24 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions for United last season. The Portuguese has won the prestigious award five times.
