Phil Parkinson went out of his way to slam Nathan Bishop after the Paul Mullin incident on Wednesday morning.
A mistimed challenge from the Manchester United goalkeeper left the Wrexham forward with a punctured lung and a hospital visit.
The Red Devils are 'unhappy' with Parkinson's comments, feeling that they can only help to 'unnecessarily inflame a difficult situation' at the moment.
The 55-year-old manager slammed Bishop's challenge as 'clumsy and reckless', stating that the shop-stopper better 'steer clear' of the 'fuming' Wrexham players and staff.
Man United are worried that Parkinson's statement will lead to a barrage of online abuse towards the young goalkeeper who clearly intended no malice. Bishop has reached out to Mullin.
