Speaking to Betfred, Louis Saha said: "For a few years I've said that Zinedine Zidane would be a fantastic appointment. There's no negatives about it.
"We all know that his dream job is with the French national team, but we don't know if he may have to wait a while for that position to become available.
"He can actually speak a bit of English, so that would be helpful. I don't see anything that goes against him being Manchester United manager.
"He would inspire the players to be more confident at the highest level and everybody admires him for what he's done as a player and as a manager.
"So I think that's certainly an advantage he's got over others. It would be a massive achievement for Man United to have Zidane as their manager."
Zidane has been linked with a move to Man United with Sir Jim Ratcliffe said to be pushing for the French manager to replace Erik ten Hag.
However, a decision on the Dutchman's future will be made at the end of the 2023/24 season after the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
