'Selfish' Marcus Rashford told he 'should not be playing for England' by ex-Man United defender

Speaking to MyBettingSites.co.uk, Paul Parker said: "Marcus Rashford is an England international. Should he be that? No. The fans want to see more from him. Ryan Giggs and Lee Sharpe played on the right wing when I played there.

"They were 100 times better than Rashford. Did they score as many goals in one season as Rashford? No, but did they produce more than Rashford? Yes, they created chances, made the runs and they were not selfish at all.

"Rashford has openly admitted that he can't play in the middle [as a number 9]. That's why he can only play at the wing but in my opinion he never gave it a shot. He was given the opportunity to be a real striker for them and he didn't grab it."

Rashford has been of the most disappointing players at Manchester United so far this season, scoring just one goal in seven games across all competitions.

The 25-year-old was omitted from the latest England squad earlier this month and his Euro 2024 prospects look quite bleak under Gareth Southgate.
