Former Liverpool midfielder could replace Arne Slot at Feyenoord — he played for Klopp

The worst-kept secret in football right now is that Feyenoord manager Arne Slot will succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Dutch source Algeemen Dagblad report that the Eredivisie have shortlisted Nuri Sahin as a potential replacement for Slot.

The 35-year-old featured for Liverpool back in the day, joining on loan from Real Madrid. The midfielder made only 12 appearances. He also played for Feyenoord in the 2007/08 season.

Sahin retired in 2021, becoming a manager at Turkish side Antalyaspor. He's currently an assistant manager at Borussia Dortmund. To make it a full circle, the former Turkey international was managed by Klopp when he played at Dortmund.
