Mason Greenwood has joined Getafe on loan from Manchester United for the entire season after news of his return was met with intense public backlash.
Greenwood is slowly but surely returning to action one game at a time. He made his debut coming on as a substitute in La Liga followed by scoring his very first goal since 2022.
He's scored once and assisted another one so far - which is not bad, considering he hasn't played professionally since he was accused of rape and assault by his partner.
In fact, stats aggregator SofaScore has rated him 6.84 on average for his performances in the five games so far.
For context, the likes of Mason Mount (6.40), Christian Eriksen (6.47) and Scott McTominay (6.71) have also been rated in a similar bracket.
Greenwood's future at Man United is not totally ruled out. If he impresses at Getafe, he could pave the way back for himself into Erik ten Hag's starting plans.
