Fenerbahce board to meet Anthony Martial and discuss transfer (reliability: 4 stars)

According to Turkish news outlet Dirilis Postasi, Fenerbahce board member Selahattin Baki is travelling to England to discuss permanent transfers with a couple of targets - including Anthony Martial.

The Manchester United forward has once again struggled to impress in front of the goal, prompting Erik ten Hag to rely on Rasmus Hojlund.

However, Hojlund is only 20 and needs a senior striker to share the burden of scoring with. Martial has the experience and the age but injuries and inconsistency have led to his woes.

The Frenchman only has two goals this season and has lacked cutting edge in front of goal. With his contract expiring next summer, he looks set to leave either on a free transfer or on a cut-price fee in January.
