Speaking on talkSPORT, Tony Cascarino said: "Manchester United are like a glorified Eredivisie team that doesn't play in a way that Man United should be playing. I think that will cost Erik ten Hag his job eventually
"Man United have to be a team that literally go after everybody, in their backyard as well. Not going there to defend at Liverpool, at Manchester City, at Chelsea, or whoever. Man United always took the game to you.
"But Ten Hag doesn't do that. Man United are more like a counter-attacking team I think the decision on Ten Hag's future is hanging in the balance. I would imagine if the games games this season go wrong [he could go]."
Ten Hag continues to find himself in the crosshairs of the British media even after beating Liverpool 4–3 in the FA Cup before the international break.
Under the Dutchman, the Red Devils are competing for a top-four finish and a trophy but there are still rumours about his long-team future at Old Trafford.
