Kobbie Mainoo is becoming a much-talked-about figure in England, following his incredible Player of the Match performance against Belgium.
Mainoo broke onto the first-team scene at Manchester United as a holding midfielder and he's often deployed in a deep role.
He's shown the tendency to run forward and influence the attack, even bagging a goal in the Premier League this season.
According to Jamie Carragher, Mainoo's true potential would be unlocked in a more advanced role.
"People are talking about him and there’s this thing building that he’s a holding midfielder," explained the former Liverpool man quoted by TBR Football.
"I don’t really see it. He’s this guy who dribbles and runs forward.
"There’s this talk about United needing a holding midfield player, but I don’t think he’s that. I thought that performance was sensational."
