Erik ten Hag was displeased with how Man United failed to hold onto their late lead in the draw against Brentford.
After the game, he told Sky Sports and BBC Match of the Day: "After the international break the levels are never as high as before. I think Brentford wanted it more the entire game..
"We shouldn’t have given it away when we were winning. So that’s disappointing. Brentford were better than us today. They showed more passion, desire and determination as we did.
"The quality of this team is they fight for it, but we have to show more. We scored the goal but then threw it off the line. We were winning in the end, maybe it wasn't deserved but then you have to take the three points so it is very disappointing to draw the game."
The draw leaves Man United eight points behind the Premier League top-5 and Champions League qualification for next season looks even more daunting than before.
