Rivals fans chant 'Greenwood die' during La Liga game — Getafe boss demands action

The Alaves vs Getafe game on Sunday had to be paused in the first half due to chants aimed at Mason Greenwood.

The referee blew his whistle amid 'Greenwood, die' chants and an announcer had to please with the Alaves fans to stop.

After the 1–0 defeat away from home, Getafe boss Jose Bordalas said: "They [the fans] have sung 'Greenwood, die'.

"The protocol says that when it happens a second time, the game has to be stopped and the players have to go to the locker room.

"I have read it. And the referee has not done it. If they are the first to not comply with the protocols, it will never stop."
