'He is one of the most important players': teammates back Isco after Leganes disappointment

Real Madrid have suffered yet another defeat this season, against Leganes in the Copa del Rey. One player who could be particularly unhappy with the loss is Isco as he has missed yet another chance to force his way into starting XI.

After starting on Wednesday and exciting everyone by it, he failed to create something noteworthy and was subbed off in the second half.

However, his teammates are hopeful that the midfielder will change his fortunes and help the team to get back on the right track this season.

"Isco is important for the team," Nacho said in his post-match interview. "He is one of the most important players on the team and he has to keep working.

"The coach is with him and when he is on the field he has to make a statement. It's normal [that Isco wasn't at his best against Leganes], he has had several games that he was not a starter for. We were all in the same line-up and if we had not qualified it would have been a catastrophe."

Casemiro has echoed Nacho's words, also backing Isco to recover from his difficult situation.

"We are sincere and we know we have to improve and this club demands it," the Brazil international said. "This is the most difficult league in the world, with work we will see what happens at the end of the season."

After being subbed off in the second half, Isco went right to the other players not giving any attention to Solari, which is only making the already frustrating situation seem even worse.

Solari, however, had once again denied the fact of any tension between him and the player:

"There is no problem with Isco.”

How do you expect the Isco-Solari conflict to develop?
