Madrid confirm injuries to Nacho and Casemiro; the Spaniard could reportedly miss two months

Real Madrid are in a deep injury crisis as the club officially confirm Casemiro and Nacho's diagnosis. Both players had to be replaced in Sunday night's 4-2 win at Celta. The Brazilian only lasted for just 18 minutes as he received a painful knock on his ankle while the Spaniard left the pitch in the 69th minute.

Unfortunately, Nacho's injury seems to be the most serious. The tests confirm he has sustained a damage to his knee ligament which would reportedly rule him out for eight weeks, should Cadena COPE to be trusted. Casemiro, meanwhile, has 'only' sprained his ankle so he is expected to recover in a shorter period of time. According to COPE, the Brazilian will miss three weeks.

Surprisingly, Madrid haven't provided any updates on the health of Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon. The former spent the majority of the game with a swollen ankle which was confirmed by the coach, Santiago Solari. The latter, meanwhile, pulled a muscle shortly before the break and had to be replaced too.

It is now obvious that Los Blancos' most problematic area is the defensive one for the time being. Right now six out of total eight defenders have serious fitness concerns: Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Jesus Vallejo and Sergio Reguilon. Madrid had to finish the Celta match with a bizarre defensive formation of Sergio Ramos, Javi Sanchez and Lucas Vazquez.
