Real Madrid have lost another player to injury problems. This time it's Nacho Fernandez, who had to be subbed off during the half-time of our stalemate against Club Brugge. Some have thought that Zinedine Zidane simply wanted to bring Marcelo on due to Nacho's defensive performance.
Actually, Fernandez has experienced a fitness issue. Here's the official medical report from Real Madrid: "Following tests carried out on Nacho Fernandez by the Sanitas Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to his medial collateral ligament in his right knee. His recovery will continue to be assessed."
We hope that this problem is not going to take him out for long. Nacho is incredibly important to Los Blancos and his latest performances in the absence of Marcelo and Ferland Mendy only added to the defender's significance.
