Real Madrid's 6 worst players in Atletico embarrassment: ratings

Thibaut Courtois - 2

Conceding five before half-time should be a serious blow for any keeper's ambitions. Especially if this goalkeeper aspires to be number one at the best club in the world. Courtois wasn't at fault for the first goal that came after a deflection. However, he then conceded three more before making his first good save. Was replaced by Keylor after failing to save Diego Costa's penalty.

Sergio Ramos - 2

The captain started the game by deflecting Diego Costa's shot into the goal and his game continued in the same manner. Wasn't able to handle Morata's pace, while his building from the back was so untuned that his pass to Modric led to another goal.

Nacho - 3

Continued in the same shaky manner he played against Arsenal. Joao Felix has gotten past him on so many occasions we could count them any more. Won the penalty for Los Blancos' second goal but it shouldn't conceal his absolute lack of form.

Luka Modric - 2

Was absolutely helpless against Atletico's organized and dominant pressing. Failed to bring the ball forward for the attack. Defensively was always outrun and outpassed by the likes of Koke and Saul.

Vinicius - 4

Not the best clash to make his first start of the season. Was deployed on the right side of the pitch which probably made the things more difficult for him. Didn't produce much in attacking department and was nowhere near his optimal conditions defensively with most of Atletico's goals coming from Madrid's right side.

Eden Hazard - 4

It was hard to understand that he was present on the pitch at all. Nothing positive to report from the Belgian's performance. Perhaps, Los Blancos should've made a move for Joao Felix as they planned initially - the youngster was the true star of the game.
