Vinicius MoTM once again, Casemiro still poor: ratings from Leganes win

Players who impressed against Wolves:

Vinicius - 9/10

The Brazilian wins the Man of the Match award for the second consecutive time. It is true he struggled a bit to break through Leganes five-man defence, however, he would soon come to the senses and show a true attacking masterclass. The 18-year-old demonstrated maturity, great vision and contributed to two goals: he assisted on Lucas' second of the game and scored himself as well.

Sergio Ramos - 8/10

The captain was up to his usual tasks: bossed the defence, lead the team and scored the opener from the penalty spot. Perfect performance, needless to say more.

Federico Valverde - 7/10

The youngster did well to cover up for the Ballon d'Or winner, Luka Modric, which is not easy at all. Just like the others, he wasn't very active in the first half, however, demonstrated his true worth when Real Madrid opened the scoring and relaxed a bit. The promising starlet showed up he is able to have a go from long distance, an important quality.

Keylor Navas - 7/10

The Costa-Rican didn't have many moments to prove he is better than Thibaut Courtois, however, the numbers are speaking for themselves. He kept a clean sheet - Madrid's first in January - and produced a sensational save as he denied Braithwaite's powerful headed shot some moments before the kick-off.

Players who should've done better:

Dani Ceballos - 5/10

Unfortunately, he is not mature or qualified enough to replace Toni Kroos in the heart of the midfield. The Spaniard wasn't particularly good in holding the ball and possession; moreover, he could now become behind another starlet, Federico Valverde, in the pecking order.

Casemiro - 5/10

The Brazilian is still lacking match fitness even though he celebrated his comeback a couple of weeks ago, during the Club World Cup tournament in Abu Dhabi. Just like against Villarreal and Real Sociedad, Casemiro produced a number of mistakes and needless fouls.

Nacho - 5/10

The defender looked a bit out of place which is quite understandable given he wasn't in action since mid-November. He made some crucial mistakes which allowed Braithwaite to orchestrate a powerful headed shot thankfully saved by Keylor Navas. Overall, Nacho lacked the pace to cover up for Alvaro Odriozola who often left his position to join the attack.

Other players' ratings:

Lucas Vazquez - 6/10

Karim Benzema- 6/10

Sergio Reguilon - 6/10

Alvaro Odriozola - 6/10

Isco - 6/10

Brahim Diaz - n/a

Cristo - n/a
