Martin Odegaard joined Arsenal on loan until the end of the season. Real Sociedad were a close contender to sign the attacking midfielder and it seems that Norway international Josh King helped tip the scales in favour of the north London club.
"When I saw the rumour about Arsenal, I sent him a message and said: 'You have to go to Arsenal.'" the Everton forward told NKR.
"He replied, 'Are you sure? Are you sure?' – I was so sure. Arsenal’s style of play and Martin… I have friends who have played for Arsenal, and I know a little how the club is. In my head, I think it suited him well."
Odegaard had a somewhat quiet start to life in London but then scored vital goals in back-to-back games and put in a brilliant performance vs West Ham this weekend.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are very impressed by the attacking midfielder and they are eager to discuss with Real Madrid the possibility of keeping him beyond the summer.
