Real Madrid have seven players on their books whose deals with the club expire next summer. Here they are.
Luka Modric & Toni Kroos. The veteran midfielders might be old but they're aged like a fine wine — so we won't completely rule out seeing them at the Bernabeu in the 2024/25 season.
Lucas Vazquez. A great squad player to have and a Madridista through and through. However, game time will be a concern when his renewal will be discussed.
Nacho. The Spaniard is another ageing player at the club who can be relied upon when needed. Negotiations to keep him at the club took a lot of time this year so it's not clear whether he'll stay beyond 2024.
Andriy Lunin. Hasn't particularly impressed after Courtois' injury. Maybe it would be the best for him to develop his career elsewhere.
Joselu. The striker arrived on a loan with an option to buy. He'll get his chance to prove himself but so far has found game time difficult to come by.
Kepa Arrizabalaga. There is no buy option in Madrid's loan agreement with the Basque goalkeeper. They'll have to negotiate a fee with Chelsea in case they want to keep him after this season.
