The Andalusian's only goal of the night came from a mistake by David Alaba, but they had plenty of chances of their own. Dani Carvajal's key goal-line clearance and a couple of big saves from Kepa Arrizabalaga prevented the home side from converting those.
As per xG Philosophy, Real Madrid's xG (expected goals) stands at 2.25 while Sevilla's stood at 1.57, suggesting that a 2-1 Madrid victory would have been 'the fairest' outcome.
